BE READY TO LAY DOWN THOSE HITS!!

What do you need to do to get ready for your big day in a recording studio? The first step is rehearsal. If you have a place to rehearse, like your garage or basement go for it. If not, you may need to seek out a professional rehearsal studio. If your budget allows, I highly suggest the latter. Trust me, you will get way more done! Make sure you have properly rehearsed all of the songs you plan on recording. This means that the band knows the songs inside and out and can play all of theText Colorm with or without the lead vocals. If you're just a voalist with no band, then you should know all of your songs down to the "T". You should practice all the songs to some sort of "click track" or metronome. This will ensure the song has a steady flow and doesn't rollercoaster tempo wise. Make sure to jot down what the tempo for each song will be, so that you can let the engineer in the studio know. All vocal harmonies should be worked out, all solos tweaked to perfection, and any bridges or musical changes should be completely ironed out. Don't wait to do this in the recording studio as you will be wasting valuable studio time at your expense!

  2. I completely agree. Practice, practice, and more practice cause after all practice makes perfect and you dont want to go into the recording studio until you have perfected your music. The band Tool has at least a four year gap between everyone of their cds because they said they don't record until everything is perfect.

  4. I totally agree with everything you said. You need to be really prepared when you go into the studio and have a positvie attitude. Practice makes perfect and if you don't use it, you will lose it! Practicing all the time gives you more confidence too because you are prepared for what you want to make perfect!

  5. Yes you do need to come prepared to a recording studio session because you will be costing your record company big bucks. If you don't come prepared that may be the last studio session you have.

  6. I used to do a lot of performing in front of judges for choir, it was a little nerve racking at first but everyone gets used to it. Hey if those little girls on the Disney channel can do it, we all can do it.

  8. The recording studio should be for just that. It should be for RECORDING, not practicing. Every minute in the studio is $$$$, so get it right before you get in there.

  9. I can just Imagine how nerve racking recording tracks can be. The more practice the more comfortable the preformer will be. Hence, the better the tacks will sound with less mistakes.
